Visitors interested in the history of Bangkok can now take walking tours to the heart of Old Siam with the help of podcast downloads. The podcasts about the old city include information about charming wooden palaces, the Royal Passage along Ratchadamnoen Avenue, a Siamese version of the Paris’ Champs-Elysees, Thailand’s first Western theatre and opera house, a first-class royal temple, the Giant Swing and a Chinese shrine which features year-round festivals, operas and puppet shows. Many Bangkok visitors will never experience many of these attractions as they tend to lie off the regular tourist circuit.
